I know I’m asking for it with this question. So before you start, here’s why. I own both and yes I can fish with them. Here is my observation. Other than a faster retrieve, that’s about all I can see a baitcaster has to offer. I fish my equipment hard and I take care of my equipment. I can do anything with my spinning reel that I can do with my baitcaster like flipping or pitching. My spinning reels take the workload better and last longer for half the price. I’ve burned up 3 baitcaster in the last year and I’m tired of shelling out more money everytime. I cast hard and expect a lot from my reels…..is there a baitcaster I won’t destroy in more than 3 years.
